Islahi scholars recognized that a fundamental need within the Muslim community at that time was educational reform. To address this need, they established an Education Board dedicated to this purpose. This board meticulously set up Educational Institutions and also Religious schools across the state, equipped with modern amenities. IHIR and Safe Campus are some of the recent initiatives of the movement.
Women’s Empowerment
Islahi movement has a separate wing for women and also an additional wing for teens and younger segment. The movement was always in the forefront of women empowerment with examples like Haleema Beevi and many other women leaders coming forward to the social and relegious development of the community. The organizations involvment was crucuial in gaining rights for women to worship in mosques and also for Education.
Charity And Welfare
Charity and Giving back to the society is one of the main pillars of Islam in the form of Zakath and Sadakah, The organization runs Kerala Zakath Foundation and also various local Zakath Committes throught the country. Also full support is given to initiatives and institutions like Helping Hands charitable trust , Care Home, Medical Aid Centre and Ability Foundation for the disabled.
Qur’an Learning Schools
Qural Learning School was setup by the early leaders of the movement as many muslims were ignorant about the true teachings and meaning of Quran as there were widespread exploitation by the so called priests among the community. Islahi Movment was the first among publishing detailed Quran Translations in Malayalam which got international acclaim from various Islamic scholars.
